I serve in the camp team as the program leader. I mainly focus on the leading of skits, games and events, besides this I just need to be enthusiastic and funny. I need to talk with and excite all those taking part in our camp. It is a true dream job! I am still young and íi have little experience in the area of leadership, but íi am thankful that I can have a ministry that is serious and full of responsibility.
I grew up in a Christian family. My father is a pastor, so from my birth I heard the Word of God. Unfortunately, every Bible story was a fairy tale to me. I was a very bad and selfish kid, everything revolved around me. One day when I came home, nobody was there, which was very unusual. I thought that the rapture happened and because I wasn’t saved, I didn’t go up to heaven. I felt very lonely and I started to pray, I realized that I was a sinner, and that I needed God. I asked that He would forgive my sin. I believe that in that moment, I understood what Christ did for me, and that I needed Him, but I didn’t really allow Him to work in my life. Later, I ended up in the Word of Life summer camp, where I served as the assistant to the program director for 6 weeks.
Unfortunately, I quickly realized my selfish way of life continued. My leader at the time talked with me a lot, about what it means to serve Christ, and how this should look in everyday life. This conversation helped me step on to the right path. That summer I really understood, that my life only has meaning if I serve God. From that point on I am living this way, and I will continue, if this is His will.
